You were once a nation that embraced everyone.
You were the symbol of freedom, a cultural melting pot.
But somewhere along the way, you began to embrace fear instead.
And now, you live not knowing that you've become something else.

1. “America, as seen from the outside, was different.”

Growing up in Korea, America was the icon of liberty.
Before guns and violence, what came to mind were human rights, diversity, and cultural acceptance.
We admired you. We respected you. Some of us even dreamed of becoming a part of you.
And when I finally set foot on your land, that energy—it was real.

2. “But what happened to you now?”

Armed with guns, suspicious of immigrants,
shouting about freedom while taking it from each other…
Radical groups orbiting around Trump,
lost in the illusion of “greatness,”
are isolating everyone—including themselves.

3. “Fear is what turns people into zombies.”

Chinese? Korean-Chinese? Mexican?
Wherever they’re from, a person is still a person.
But fear has turned you not into distinguishers, but into oppressors.
The moment your neighbor stops being ‘human’ in your eyes,
your soul begins to die.

4. “America was great when it was the opposite of Trump.”

Freedom wasn’t a privilege for the white majority.
Democracy wasn’t about the system—it was about the people.
And even when it was hard,
you had the will to walk forward together.

5. “Now, you must bring back that America.”

The America Trump says he’ll make great again—
is the exact opposite of the America that was truly great.
What you need now is simple, but urgent:
Remember.
Remember who you truly were.
What kind of nation you once aspired to be.
Why the world admired you so much…

Epilogue – “I hope you return to being human.”

We’re searching for real people amidst the zombies.
America was one of them.
A nation that stood for freedom.
